Line-shaft Driven Powered Roller
Of all the powered roller conveyor style, this is the most economical to purchase and install. It operates via a single rotating shaft mounted integrally within the conveyor frames and which in turn rotates each roller by specially designed drive belts and friction spools connecting the rollers to the shaft.
This simple conveyor style enables the systems to include straight run sections, curves, half curves, junctions, merges and transfers to be configured within the system design using the minimum amount of drive motor and transmission packages.
Many varied and complex system designs can be configured using this type of conveyor style.
It is suited to warehouse or manufacturing applications where lighter weight cartons or tote bins and other conveyable products need to be moved, allowing for a variety of situations requiring directional changes. Limited minimal pressure accumulation of product can be obtained with this style of drive method, but some limitations do apply.
This conveyor is NOT suited to all handling applications, and we recommend consultation with us in specialized areas.
Speed and load restrictions apply to the Line-shaft style.
