Chain Driven Roller Conveyors
In this conveyor style, the drive is transmitted to the rollers via a chain and sprocket drive.
Chain driven roller conveyors provide good positive drive for heavy loads such as cartons, crates, drums, stillages and pallets.
An added feature of this drive style is that it can also be adapted to give low pressure accumulation via mechanical system built into the rollers, that enables the conveyor to control the buffer storage or accumulation of the product on the rollers when required, and released gradually as desired to further transport or processing.
Generally used for short to medium conveyor lengths, transfer cars, shuttles and turning devices.
Options: -
This style of roller drive transmission is now also available with: -
- Toothed timing belt drive.
- Micro-groove “V” belt drive.
(Can both be used for high speed applications, whereas chain drive is mainly for low to medium speed applications.)
